Last year only 8 percent of THAW's budget was spent on administrative and fundraising costs, while 92 percent of every dollar THAW received directly helped those in need. Since its inception, $90.4 million in assistance has been distributed to more than 143,000 Michigan households, including elderly, unemployed, underemployed, disabled individuals who found themselves in temporary crisis.
